Packers’ Second-Year Safety Leaves Preseason Game vs. Colts with Chest Injury
Omar Brown was looking to carry over his strong training camp into the preseason.
But the second-year player suffered what appears to be a serious injury during Saturday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Brown suffered a chest injury late in the third quarter and needed an oxygen breathing mask as he was carted back to the locker room.
Brown joined the Packers before the start of the 2024 season after being waived by the Denver Broncos. He spent most of the season on the practice squad before being elevated for the team's final three games of the regular season.
He signed a futures/reserve contract after the 2024 season.
Brown, who played in college at the University of Northern Iowa and Nebraska, was off to an impressive training camp and was the standout performer of Family Night two weeks ago with three interceptions.
