The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially signed a former top-10 NFL Draft pick to their practice squad, just one day after hosting him for a workout, according to team sources.

The addition comes as the Steelers continue to explore ways to strengthen their linebacker unit, which has struggled with depth and consistency early in the season. Pittsburgh has been proactive in evaluating experienced veterans who could provide immediate help or developmental upside within their defensive scheme.

That player is Isaiah Simmons, a former No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. Once touted as one of the most athletic and versatile defensive prospects in years, Simmons has appeared in
