Detroit, MI – November 12, 2025
The Detroit Lions have made a key roster move ahead of their primetime Week 11 showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles, signaling their intent to strengthen depth before a crucial NFC battle.
With injuries easing up across the roster, Detroit continues fine-tuning its practice squad, looking for balance between veteran stability and long-term development as the playoff race intensifies.
The team officially announced a pair of transactions Tuesday — one addition and one release — reshaping the offensive side of the practice unit heading into Sunday’s matchup at Ford Field.

Veteran tight end
Across his career, Firkser has amassed 115 receptions, 1,207 yards, and 5 touchdowns, bringing versatility and experience from previous stops with the Titans, Falcons, Jets, Chiefs, and Lions. His ability to contribute both as a tight end and fullback gives Detroit added flexibility on offense.
Conley’s release comes just a week after signing, as improved health along the offensive line reduced the need for additional depth. Only rookie Christian Mahogany remains on injured reserve among the key linemen.
This marks Detroit’s second practice squad adjustment of the week, following the return of DE Ahmed Hassanein under the International Player Pathway exemption.
With momentum building after reclaiming first place in the NFC North, the Lions (7–2) are preparing for their toughest test yet — a statement matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles under the national spotlight.
3 Broncos Players Fined Ahead of Cowboys Game — NFL Denies Appeal as Giants Player Escapes Punishment for Broncos Incident

Denver, CO – The NFL has officially announced fines for three Denver Broncos players —
Dre Greenlaw, who confronted referee Brad Allen after the Giants game, has been suspended one game without pay, an appeal that the league swiftly denied. NFL EVP Troy Vincent emphasized that Greenlaw’s suspension serves as “an example” for players across all levels of football, citing the need to uphold respect toward officials.
Meanwhile, Justin Strnad was fined $15,486 for making contact with the same referee moments before the Greenlaw incident, and Riley Moss received an $8,253 fine for an unnecessary roughness/facemask penalty in the third quarter.
Head coach Sean Payton was vocal about his frustration with the officiating, calling one late-game call “silly” and “flat-out wrong.” Still, the Broncos must move forward without distractions as they chase their sixth win of the season.
What’s stirring controversy is that no Giants player faced any punishment from the same heated matchup, sparking anger among Broncos fans who claim the NFL is applying a double standard.
Despite the discipline, Denver’s front office remains defiant. One team executive reportedly stated: “You can fine us, you can flag us, but you can’t slow us down. No whistle, no penalty, no setback is going to stop the Denver Broncos from going after the Super Bowl.”
As Week 8 looms, the message from Denver is clear — fines or not, the Broncos are charging forward, fueled by belief, unity, and a relentless hunger for redemption.
