Detroit Lions Officially Shut Down All Hope of a Frank Ragnow Unretirement in the 2025 Season
The Detroit Lions have delivered the news no fan wanted to hear. Frank Ragnow will not return to play in the 2025 season.
According to head coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes, the former All-Pro center reported to team headquarters on November 28 to complete the mandatory NFL reactivation process required for players coming off the retired list. Everything appeared routine until he reached the medical evaluation stage.
An MRI revealed a Grade 3 hamstring tear. It is a severe injury requiring an estimated 6–9 months of full recovery, making it medically impossible for him to meet the physical standard needed to rejoin the 53-man roster.
“Frank came in with everything he had, but his body just isn’t ready,” Campbell told reporters Friday morning. “We pushed every option available, but Frank’s health comes first. He cannot play for the rest of this season.”
Holmes added. “Frank has always been a team-first guy and a true warrior. Even if he can’t return to the field this year, he will forever be a Lion.”
Ragnow originally retired in June 2025 due to a series of chronic injuries, including toe, pectoral, and back issues. Over the past four months, he continued training privately, hoping for a possible unretirement — especially with the Lions dealing with depth concerns at center (both Graham Glasgow and Tate Ratledge managing minor issues).
With this latest diagnosis, the door to a 2025 comeback has officially closed. Still, the team has left open the possibility of Ragnow attempting a full return in the 2026 offseason
Lions fans immediately flooded social media with messages of support and gratitude.
“Once a Lion, always a Lion 🦁❤️”
“Thank you for everything, Frank. Heal up and come back when you’re ready.”
For now, the Lions will rely on Graham Glasgow as their starting center and Tate Ratledge as his primary backup for the final six games of the regular season and the playoff run ahead.
“No Kings” Protest Altercation Leaves New York Giants Fan Bloodied After Yelling Gay Slurs & Proclaiming His Love For Donald Trump [VIDEO]
The New York Giants lost a winnable game on Sunday, and one member of their fan base possibly had it worse than them.
A No Kings protest took place in Denver on Saturday, resulting in several confrontations between protesters, police, and counter-protesters.
For those that are out of the loop, the No Kings protests are against what the organizers describe as authoritarian policies of Donald Trump and corruption in his administration.
The overriding theme of the marches was the accusation that President Trump is behaving more like a monarch than an elected official.
While protesters were doing their thing in Denver, several passing spectators shouted at protesters, including one who yelled, “Get a job.”
A man rocking New York Giants gear could be seen chanting, “God bless Trump,” with some friends alongside him in the street. He flipped off protesters before yelling “F–k you” before dropping a gay slur.

That is when a younger guy stole his sunglasses and started running away with them.
New York Giants Fan Gets Bloodied
A gray-haired man did not like his sunglasses being taken, so he gave chase. Unfortunately for him, the cameraman behind him would catch him falling face-first to the concrete as he slid on the street.
The older gentleman still had his eyes on the guy, but found himself being tripped off his feet yet again. That second fall would bust the top of his left eye wide open as he began to drip blood.
Other protesters would keep grabbing at him as blood dripped down his face.
Per Westword, Denver police arrested twenty-year-old Jose Cardenas for allegedly tripping the New York Giants fan in the video.
It does not appear that the older gentleman ever got his sunglasses back, but at least the one guy is going to pay for his actions.
The last time we saw something this diabolical at a protest,
